1953 Harley-Davidson KR 750

The 1953 Harley-Davidson KR was a race-tuned version of the K Model, built specifically for AMA flat track competition. With its 45-cubic-inch side-valve V-twin engine, upgraded cams, higher compression, and improved suspension, the KR was fast, durable, and perfectly suited for dirt racing. Though it used older side-valve technology, AMA rules allowed it to compete against overhead-valve bikes, giving Harley a competitive edge. The KR went on to dominate U.S. racing through the 1950s and early '60s, becoming one of the most successful American race bikes of its era. Restored by Yesterday's Restoration.
